Caracoles III is a sound object created for presentation at an Anthological exhibition of Sound Art in Perú. It is the third in a series of sound art pieces that explores the popular belief that conch shells reproduce the sound of the sea. Delivering their acoustic filter in the shape of headphones, the work stands in contrast to the private sound worlds created by today’s earphone culture.
